Im planning to put power brakes on my 52 with solid front axle and drum brakes all around and was wondering how those that had added power brakes thinks they perform.
Before I had bought my 52, the previous previous owner rebuilt the whole brake system on my truck before selling it to the recent previous owner who stored the truck in his barn for the past 10 years. Everything is still in really nice shape even after sitting for 10 years. I'm installing a firewall mounted pedal assembly with booster & master cylinder that will be for now plumbed up to the drum brakes. My plan is to in the future install a disc brake kit but that depends on how well the powered drum brakes perform. The end plan for my truck is to drive it to work and school (college) at the most once a week (a 70mile round trip) and then drive it sometimes on the weekend.
