Where do I find the large springs for the window regulators on my 1949 GMC 3/4 ton pickup? I have found the window regulator rebuild kits at LMC, Jim Carter,Classic Parts, etc, but can not find the larger 'helper' springs anywhere. The rebuild kits do not contain this type of spring and no one at the parts places mentioned above have been able to point me to a good source. I will be putting the doors back on the truck after painting the hinges. All interior door stuff was removed, so working on getting window regulators, etc ready to go.
