Another thing to keep in mind. An impact can run upwards of 200 ft lbs to 400 ft lbs of torque. I would recommend using a gun to snug up the nuts then finish off with a torque wrench. This way you don't accidently stretch or snap your studs.
An alternative is to use torque sticks which only allow a certain torque.
