I know you are looking for information on earlier lighter knobs but I would like to correct a mis-understanding brought on by reproduction parts sellers.
The
"reproduction" Advance-Design lighter knobs are made to look like the headlight/choke/throttle knobs (
47-53 and
54-55) but those reproductions are not at all like the original Advance-Design cigarette/cigar lighter knob:
47-53 and
54-55.
