Seriously Jeff, leave all the vents open, that's the way they were designed to operate. The oil cap was a solid type that looked like a radiator cap not a breather cap like the later ones. http://rides.webshots.com/photo/2656509080098611668xRJrKp And the draft tube has a baffle in it, no mesh, it will puke out some muck but that's normal.
