My challenge was finding ONE company that would insure all of my vehicles AND the dump. None of them would give me general insurance for such a big beast, but typicaly they outsourced the coverage for odd vehicles, comercial, & motorcycles. Lucked out tho, Farmers covered everything I own for less that what a couple companies quoted me for just the dump truck. Was so good I told USAA to go pee up a rope even tho I'd been with them for 14 years and fell under the old officer rates.
Best suggestion, shop around, and be sure to ask if you local laws require insurance by usage &/or weight or not, dont give them buggers any reason not to cover you if the worst comes to pass.

1956 GMC 370 dump " 'Tater "
1970 VW Volksrod "the Black Bomber"
2007 Chevy Avalanche
2020 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk,
2005 Harley Davidson FLHTCUI

I dig all cars, old and new, whether they were hammered out of American iron, German steel, or Japanese tin cans. Being unable to appreciate them all is missing out on a world of great things.
But thats just MY opinion!
