I replaced the points in my 1960 235 with the Ignitor 1 about 3000 miles ago and have had no problems. I'm running a stock coil and plugs with the stock gap. Plugs look like they did the day they were installed.
Like the others, I carry a set of points and the other components removed from the distributor when I installed the Ignitor. Would highly recommend the Ignitor 1.
