Sorry for the lack of information. Truck is a 55 2nd Series. PO said "350 engine and transmission is out of a '69 Chevelle". Engine numbers check out to be a '72. I was trying to find out what year the trans actually was. Engine and trans are mounted to stock bellhousing with crossmember mounts. Rear end appears to be stock. 7 bolts on trans side plate means it is a Saginaw? Notice from the photo that the top right mounting hole is broken off, only 3 bolts holding it in.

Second photo shows floor shift in relation to seat, too far back and too close to the seat.

I plan on getting a T5 and installing over the winter. I am trying to find out if this transmission is shorter that the T5 and will I need to shorten the driveshaft. I don't know if the driveshaft in the truck is original or if it is shorter or longer because of the previous trans swap. All comments appreciated.
