With a triple you can use a center primary and secondary or dummy end carbs. It sounds like you already know where the challenge is going to be and syncronized carbs are only as good as their linkage. The shiny parts in the catalogs are reproductions of antique speed parts and the job of the “floating” linkage that comes with them was simply to hold both throttle plates vertical for racing. Making it idle smoothly is accomplished by bending the linkage and has been described by some as “poor at best”. If you can find a vintage intake with an integral throttle pivot rod it will work like a dream or if you like Tom Langdon’s setup he engineered a pivoting solution to work with the carbs he sells. Here’s some intake pic’s: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=200740&showall=1And here’s some info on choosing O/E type carbs: http://www.thecarburetorshop.com/RochestermultipleB.htmHave fun.
