If it is a long-bed half-ton the 125.25 is the correct stock measurement. But if you are changing rear axles I'd suggest you spend some time mocking it up at the desired ride height and then position the axle where it looks best.

Most of these trucks look like the wheels are too far forward and this is your chance to fix that!
