I'm looking at HEI because at least one of my cylinders is not firing. I know no. 1 is not firing, but the others on the right bank are (I haven't had time to check the left bank). From a previous post I have been convinced that the dist cam lobe is worn and not pushing the points open for the non-firing cylinders. It looks like some of the HEI conversions use the cam lobe to control the spark. Theoretically, I would still have the problem even with the new HEI. Right?
