I painted a vehicle for a friend 3 years ago and now there are blisters appearing on several surfaces. I'm not talking about just a few blisters, there are thousands of them. The left front fender is practically covered with them. It isn't rust.
There was quite a bit of body work done by a previous owner and the car had been repainted at that time with what I believe was acrylic enamel. After sanding and prepping, I sprayed a sealer before applying the bc/cc. All components were made by Nason, which is what I always use, and I have never had this problem before.
What could have caused the blistering so long after painting? I know I will have to repaint but what can I do to prevent this from happening again?
