I have a 350 in my '50 suburban with a quadrajet on it. It is a tempermental carb and will soon be replaced with an Edelbrock 600cfm. My car club buddy has one on his '48 1/2 ton with 350 that he put on new out of the box 4 years ago and has done nothing to it but drive. Mine idles fast, slow, dies at stop lights, exit ramps etc. And that's all in one 500 mile trip. Plus, can't seem to find the right bracket for a Gennie Shifter linkage.
Probably buy and install the new carb next weekend.
