I was told that the early 60's through 72' would fit...I cant seem to get it in there. My original manual crossmember had the center torched out so removal wsa easy but no matter what angle I take at it the new one wont go in. Do I need to cut the rivets out of the auto crossmember so it is in 3 pieces then bolt it together?? Help!!
