The shifter unit itself is generic and should fit anything and everything. The thing that makes it year or model specific are the mounting brackets. Jerry pointed this out above.
If you find any shifter assembly, it can be made to work perfectly by fabricating your own brackets.
If you don't have the resources to do any fabrication then you of course will have to find a ready made package. Even one close in year/application would probably be a drop in...almost!
