Newbie Here! First post!

I just purchased my first restortation project. Picked up 1951 1/2 ton with 216 engine and 1953 3/4 ton with 235. dismantled the 3/4 ton as it seems to have the best frame and 235 already installed. Used some Marvel Mystery Oil to unstick the pistons, very clean cylinders, looks like a rebuild recently.

My question : The oil pan on the 235 has a big dent in the bottom and the 216 has a very good looking oil pan. Are the oil pans interchangable?

235 started right up after cleaning the points, checking the timing, and an oil change. cylinder psi around 100 to 110 per cylinder cold check.

I am sure I will have a lot of questions as time goes on.

Thanks,
