I would go with the high volume pump, but your not hurting anything. Flickering oil lights were just a way of life 50 years ago and oil is so much better today. But this is 2008 and we don't expect oil pressure to drop that much. Put in a high volume pump, don't worry that you have done any damage so far, and drive and enjoy your vehicle.
