In the constant battle to make my 3800 a 3100, I was going to use a straight axle from another 3100 that I had taken off the rusted frame. I brought up the idea a while ago and was told it could be done, then I had a group of people say that it could not be done. I guess I am trying to open that conversation up again before I start ripping it off the truck to make the swap. BTW it is actually off a GMC not that I believe that would make a difference. Thanks
