My '48 1 ton has a stock 216, clutch and 4 speed with PTO to a hydraulic lift. I am not yet driving the truck but the engine runs and in short moves in my driveway the transmission shifts easily through all the gears. The clutch seemed to function fine. Suddenly, overnight, the clutch won't disengage and allow gear changes. No change in the pedal movement or feel, no new noises (except grinding gears). Can anyone suggest what the problem might be for a sudden fault like this? (I tried a search bur found nothing useful here).
