OOPS....I was feeling for the spring button on the top, it is of course on the passenger side of the switch....where is it so easy to access!
I quess it won't be the last time I feel stupid working on this old burb !!
When the 283 is done and we install I have a complete custom wiring harness from Brothers and then the mess the electrical is in from tinkering over the last 40 odd years might get cleared up
