Cars starting in 1954 used a hydraulic cam with the same power curve as the 261 solid cam.
They had about 230 duration.

I went with a 254 duration in/ex cam grind for my 261 bored .060
The larger displacement can handle more duration and lift, without getting poor idle and low rpm performance.
