ESPO does not list springs any more for Advance-Design trucks (and earlier). Their springs use to only come with a newer style spring clip - banding metal around a channel of rubber. Their prices used to be quite good.
Eaton Detroit Springs used to sell springs with the banding-strip type clips or the original-style clips (but, you had to ask them for this).

There are spring clips at Eaton in their
"Attaching Parts" catalog. They might be what you are referring to. While they are not like the originals that might not be a big deal.

You might want to call Eaton and see if they might sell you the original-style clips (they have always been friendly over the phone).
