| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 615 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jan 2007 Posts: 615 | Started my project up for the first time in a year..engine's been out of the truck but the only change from last year was the carb was rebuilt-the only reason it was pulled was so I could media blast the cab/chassis.
Today I could not get gas for a while..no gas at the carb and fuel pump.. after many primes I took the top of the carb off and manually filled the bowl with gas. As expected it ran fine for about a minute then gas started shooting out that small tube in the top carb opening(the horn?) after that all attemps to start resulted in gas dripping out of the carb. Guess the starvation issue was fixed. It the only possibile problem for this flooding the float adjustment?
Happy weekend all-
Keith
