Hello All,
I have recently rebuilt a 62 261 Chevy. I am planning on using the head off of my 62 235 Chevy.
I know that I need to drill the steam holes as I have read about it the forums before. I am planning on using the head gasket as a stencil for where to drill the steam holes.
My question is do I need to be especially careful to not drill into an oil vein? How deep do I drill the holes. i was looking t the head and I think that I am supposed to drill vertically until I reach the water chamber. Am I correct?
I am planning on having new seats installed and guides as well.
Is there anything else that I should look out for, apart from magnaflux etc.?
