tim,the floor/firewall mount i used was from ididit. think it was for a 55 chevy car was only $20.00 worked well in the 49.bought it from a vendor who kept tellin me it wouldnt work.
only you know the situation your workin on and what you need.just look at what they have its pretty simple.and as far as a coloum drop i used the stock one without the rubber works great for me............dave
