You can communicate with an individual by clicking on their name. Then, from the drop down menu, select "Send PM".
The window will look like a regular posting window, except only you and the other person/people included can read the message(s).
To read a PM - you must either select my stuff > my messages, or click on the envelope flashing next to "my stuff".
