just a idea. Change the cabels on the distributor for 180 degrees. It happened to me several times. You put in the distributor, set the engine on first OT and the car refuses to start.
It was the wrong OT. Remember this is a 4 stroke engine so you have 2 OTs.
So for a quick check (just to make sure) reconect the wires on the dizzy for 180 degrees. So #6 is your new #1 - 5 is 2 - 3 is 4 - 1 is 6 - 2 is 5 and 4 is 3.
