I have a "Special" installation. The 235 is in and has been for 25 years, because I have removed the truck Transmission and Bellhousing the sedan Bellhousing mounts don't sit over the rear X member which is riveted in. By using the side mounts (WITH ADAPTORS TO THE 38 FRAME)I can slide the Transmission, X member, which is bolted, up to support the Transmission. Or fabricate a Transmission mount. The side mounts would support the 235, and absorb the engine torque.
Some one makes these frame mount adaptors for a 38, DON'T THEY??? An Alternative would be a spacer between the Transmission and Bellhousing that has the correct angle to use the Truck motor mounts. I seen one during my search dated 2001.
