I do in fact, have an extra Vaccum tee. I hooked it up inline with the vaccum advance. At first I tried it just hooked the carb and left the advance out of the loop. It showed 5 inches of vaccum. I revved it up, and it went up to about 15, and when I let it idle down, it slowly went down to 1! I hooked the vaccum advance up to the carb and had the gauge inline, and it showed the same. It would not go to 5 again, it just stayed at 1. WHen I revved it up, it once again went to 15, and when I let it idle, it went back to 1.

in response to Vaughn, it is hooked up to the carbs vaccum advance port. The throttle shaft is worn pretty good. I checked the new gaskets I used for the re-build, and they were Identicle in every way.
