I've been intending to post this question but since this string appeared I'll ask it now. I have a 52 donor car with PowerGlide and I thought a 3:55 rear. I was planning to install the entire rear/tt assy into my 53 3100 and swap out the axels to retain the 6 lug wheel pattern. Am I hearing that this won't work? And, if I mis-understood, will the axels swap out. Maybe your right and I should forget the whole thing and go the aftermarket r&p route but I'd still like to know. Any advice is appreciated.
