Do you know what the engine came out of or what year it is?

If the engine is a 63 to 65 vintage, it will have some parts intercangeable with the 194/230 250 engine family. It will not have any parts that will work with the 235 or 261 engines.

There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us.
