I have several reproduction tanks that were made in Canada and they fit like oem in gmc's as well as Ford cars. They may have sent you the wrong part number. Stale gas and lead sediment is really hard to get rid of and you almost have to take a used tank to a shop because you can't ship it unless it is degassed and clean.
