Find another truck with proper paperwork and tags, then the one you have now becomes a "parts truck" for the one with the paperwork.
It may seem a bit extreme, but depending on the hoops you have to jump through to get a title problem straightened out.. You may look back and say, "Wow, I should have bought that wreck down the road with good paperwork, sure would have been less trouble"
