Another thing that you might check. The Toyota box needs 900 PSI to operate correctly. The late GM pumps put out about 1300 PSI. If you get a new pump it will likely be set up for the higher pressure also.
I usually install 3 spacer washers in the pump control valve to obtain the correct pressure.
