The hitch was that no one makes a shifter for the OD any more, and Patrick said his could be modified, but the way he said it (Patrick himself got on the phone) made me worry that I didn't want to tackle it.
Then my rear end started making noise, and I replaced it with one that has 3.08 gears. 70 is easy now, but I'm not pulling a trailer. And I have a GMC 270 under the hood.
