It's a beautiful day here in western WA so I finally took some new pictures to share.
My goal was to build something that one might have seen in the HS parking lot back in the '50's. In the CA desert town where I grew up rods, and customs were the rule, not the exception and that influence has stayed with me all these years.
This is a straight axle truck (no one was doing subframes and MII front ends back then) with a 235, homemade tri-carb setup, and Fentons playing tunes through 26" Smittys, Lancer hubcaps, and honest to goodness Port-a-walls.
My apologies to the purists and restoration guys here. I love looking at all the cool stock trucks on this sight.
This is not a show truck. I drive it as much as my collector plates will allow. We took it to Covington last night to the Friday cruise. It's about 45 minutes from here. I enjoy driving it much more than showing it.
