I would not attempt to lift the engine by lifting from below the oil pan (no matter how you might contrive to distribute the weight).
I'd suggest lifting the engine from above with a hoist (if the hood is off) or with a rolling shop crane.

The 216 and early 235 engines are not "splash oilers" --
this is a splash oiler.
