Hi Clint. Sounds like you'll probably have to replace the liner inside the whip. The liner basically looks like the outside of a choke cable. I'm not sure how much welding time you have on yours, but the liner can get filled with dust and debris that comes off the wire as it passes through. Usually when the liner gets clogged up you get trouble like your having now. They make felt wipers and lube that you put on the welding wire to help keep the liner clean as you weld.

If you've got some stiff solid core wire you might try pushing it in the liner to shove the old wire out.
