The big truck fronts appear much larger, mostly in the wheel opening. I have both a small and a big truck, so I can see them side by side.

In my opinion a big truck front with small tires (less than about 33-34") will look funny.

Best thing to do is use the big trucks as they are, or consider swapping a good cab to a smaller truck, 1/2 ton up to 1 ton, as these have smaller front fenders and related parts.
