| | | | Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 451 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2006 Posts: 451 | Was given an 83' rear seat out of a Chevy Suburban yesterday. I removed the arm rests and put her in to check the fit. Pretty good but need ideas on how to mount it.
I have the gas tank under the seat and the filler neck prevents the passenger side of the seat from resting directly on the floor/fuel tank frame in the rear. If I raise the rear up 3 1/4" it will clear and the seat sits just about level. Ride height, pedal reach. etc. feel good to me from behind the wheel.
So have any of you made rear brackets of platforms for an install simular to this, and if so how you do it?
