Hi Guys,
Today I took apart the carb to check the float settings.
They were dead on, so I put it back together.
I then installed a new set of points set at .016, the little tab that runs on the lobe was worn on the old one, and then fired her up.
She ran alot smoother, but still had a miss here, and there.
I then adusted the fuel mixture a little outward, then realized that I richened the fuel mixture.
I then turned the screw inwards leaning it out a hair more than it was before I started.
I then installed 6 new R45 AC Delco sparkplugs set at .035. I then fired up the engine again.
She was running like a singer sewing machine.
I then had to take her for a spin to make sure she was fixed.
After I backed out into the street, I then went to take off in 1st.
When I did, I felt being pushed into the seat with a loud EERR!!!
Thank you guys for all your help, I could not have fixed the engine without you guys.
Many thanks,
David
