I'm a minimalist...hook the choke to the key side of the coil. Fuse it if you want. Many are done in this fashion with no ill effects.
There are threads about pressure switches, Edelbrock install notes and flaming rollover wrecks all related to choke wiring.
As my dad was often heard to utter "take my advice and suit yourself".
