| | | | Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 30 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Apr 2008 Posts: 30 | i have a 47 1 1/2 ton truck and the original motor was a 235 (babbited) they put the bigger motor in because of the weight and load it was going to haul, but if you do decide to upgrade i would recomend the chevy 292 it'll bolt right up to the original transmission. and to boot its a hot rod!!
