If the GMC are like the Chevy engines, there are 6 bolts in the center of the flywheel. You'll have to use an old screwdriver or like tool to straighten the locks on the bolts. Then you should be able to remove the bolts, you may have to wedge the flywheel to keep it from turning. Also if you haven't you'll need to remove the starter first.
