Hy alfaulk, new bushings once installed need to be reamed to fit, the factory reamers [Kent-Moore I believe], were fixed sizes with a lead in taper. The reamers were long enough to ream both bushings at the same time. Actually the reamers had two cutters seperated by a solid shaft. The tools are rare, I have a couple of adjustable reamers with long pilots, with a taper cone for centering the pilot in the bore not being resized, I would suspect that is how a machine shop would perform the operation today, hope that helps
