Thought id introduce myself as ill soon be asking lots of stupid questions regarding the 51 2ton truck i recently bought.im 33 live on a big farm just outside melbourne,like mucking about with old things and trained as a motor mechanic(on porsches no less!)currently do steel fabrication of architectural bits.the truck is really original,only had one repaint since new and seems mechanically fine,im respraying the front to match the patina on the cab,its dark blue with areas rubbed or faded through to a lighter blue,which ill try and replicate.want to paint up some signwriting in a fifties style on the doors-so if youve got photos of this type of thing would love to see em!not sure what ill do with it when done-had ideas of makin a car hauling type tray for it (its 161" wheelbase)
to put my hotrod on.(the rod is a ahem..non chev)well thats about it-when i come across something that stumps me youll be hearing about it
