It's relatively easy to tell which oils still have adequate levels of zinc in them. Look for the API service symbol on the oil container. If it says SL or lower it has plenty of zinc. You'll notice the sample is SM which has the lower level of zinc. I've read that some of the oil companies are going to introduce specialty oils for flat tappet engines but have only personally seen one so far. Many here use Rotella but I've noticed that it is now rated SM too (at least all I've seen here). I've started buying farm fleet oil at the local farm store because it still is SL.
