I tried to ask this ? last night, but don't think I got it in correctly so anyone could see it. My 1962 235 engine reads between 110 lbs and 117 lbs of compression. Is this in the OK zone. I have to pull the head to fix a bad exhaust valve, and we could rering the engine if it needs it, but don't want to do it if it is not neccesary. A po told me the engine has about 20,000 miles on it since an overhaul. On first revolution of the crank my compression tester reads over 100lbs, and that was testing it dry, no oil in the cylinders.
