For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 63 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Nov 2006 Posts: 63 | So I was thinking people have told me it's difficult to take a truck like mine (4spd granny low) and try to adapt a 3 spd OD tranny with on the floor shifting. It seems that making or finding linkages for a 3spd floor shift (In a 1960 C10) is very difficult, well may be out of my ability anyway. So how about this. What if a pull a complete 3spd on the tree setup from a different 60-63 C10 truck? (Steering column, all shifting linkages...etc.) It should all bolt right into my truck...right?? Help! and thank you! -Danny
( Yeah if I had OD I'd be proud to have a 3 on the tree! I shift faster with it anyway!)
Thanks,as always -Danny
