I was curious if anyone knew of a paint or paint code that is close to the red used by Omaha Standard in the 1950's. I emailed Omaha Standard, but they could only give me today's paint code, which is an automotive urethane. That's fine for painting modern steel beds, but I want a good oil based enamel paint to use on the wood. My truck is a 51 6400 with the original Omaha Standard cattle/grain bed with hoist. I'm trying to preserve the wood, but also preserve the originality as best I can. Thanks for the help.
